Naples/Marco Island KOA campground, Florida
Eric: Yup, a good ol' KOA. We initially were put off by the Naples/Marco Island KOA campground. As in most of the Florida campgrounds and Florida campsites, everyone is kind of packed in tight to each other. This was before we ended up at the Kountree Kampinn campground just up the street. Now THAT place is packed! If you have a choice between the two campgrounds, go here.
The Naples/Marco Island KOA isn’t really on Marco island. It’s actually just off the island, right next to the route which takes you into the island. From this spot you can get to basically wherever you need to go in Naples. There is a little boat ramp just outside the gate which is a nice spot to walk around in if you want to get away from the metal box suburbia inside this rv resort.
