Clewiston-Okeechobee KOA campground, FL
Eric: Let’s say you want to torment some fish on Lake Okeechobee. Where are you gonna stay? Why not the Okeechobee KOA! You can’t go wrong with a KOA campground. Let’s say your all torqued up on A frame architexture. (check) You drive out to the middle of nowhere with miles of acreage all around you but you want to be crammed in with other people. (check) You need a spot for your boat. (check) You want to pet some cows. (check) You need to be close to a small town that is practically boarded up. (check)
Still, we like any of the KOA campgrounds because the organization must put a gun to the head of any campground owner who thinks your comfort and convenience is not their problem. Everything works there and it was very hunky-dory. There, that was my review of the Lake Okeechobee KOA – it was hunky-dory. Now go get them fish.
Velma: As I've said elsewhere, KOAs are a dependable RV campground (I wouldn't exactly call them an RV "resort"), with clean facilities, laundry, showers, store, propane refills, swimming pool, game room, activities for the whole family, wifi, cable TV--everything you need for your portable home away from home. And, as Eric mentioned, this one had real cows out back!
Oooh...lights!
It's actually not so bad.
