Miami Metrozoo in Miami, Florida
Eric: Yup, we sure like to watch critters and visit zoo’s in Florida. The Miami Metro zoo was another good one. I can remember going up to the glass partition of the gorilla exhibit and really looking into the eyes of one of those fellas and thinking there really IS something going on in there. You really can’t do that from all those nature shows that are on TV. I’ve sat next to people in offices where I’ve seen less going on inside their heads.
I can remember some little twerp banging on the glass, trying to get his attention. You could see the expression on his face that he was thinking, “what an asshole”. Never got a picture of all this. I should’ve whipped out my camera and taken a shot, but I didn’t want to humiliate the guy.
Velma: I wouldn't exactly call the Miami Zoo a prime draw for Miami tourism. Zoos in general are pretty awful places and I always want to liberate the animals, but knowing they'd probably get shot by trigger-happy citizens stops me. You can just see it in their eyes, in their endless pacing how much it sucks for them. The more intelligent the animal, the worse it is. I don't blame animals when they turn on their trainers. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. Some of those bastards deserve it.
OK, I can't live with this bear anymore!
So I'm boring, so what?
Shit. I think I'm late for work.
If it only snowed in Miami, I'd be all set.
